Long Term Objectives
- Learn as much as possible about as much as possible, and prioritize opportunities that increase exposure to new things and concepts.
- Contribute to the research and development of automation tools and applications with human cooperation and collaboration at the forefront.
- Develop and maintain applications/projects/spaces that encourage purposeful and user controlled content consumption and creation in ways that are easily accessible to those with little technical knowledge.
What I'm Doing
- Work: CIBC - Systems and Process Analyst co-op - Term ends in December.
- Active Projects: Crolls, Homelab (link coming soon), NRG AI research externship.
- Education: Transferring to Thompson Rivers University (Computer Science BSc.) in the Fall.
- Hobbies: Indieweb webdev, systems administration, experimenting with multimodal LLMs, chess, and cooking.
What I've Done
- Graduated Brock Highschool with a 96% average.
- Completed one year full-time, and one year part-time at Lakehead University/Georgian College in Barrie/Orillia in a Computer Science BSc. program.
- Completed a 12-month co-op in project management at CIBC - my work primarily concerned coordinating the completion and estimation of project requests, JIRA administration, and data analysis.
- Briefly administered a public mail server and corresponding webmail application for myself, my friends, and some internet strangers before succumbing to the abyss that is mail reputation issues.
What I Think I'm Good At
- Taking initiative beyond the scope of my role to improve the project or organization as a whole.
- Understanding technical and non-technical problems, breaking them down, and fixing them.
- Doing the "reading" and paying attention to the little things.
What I Want to Be Better At
- Consumer robotics.
- Building effective evaluations for multimodal LLMs.
- Effectively collecting, utilizing, and actioning data (through data engineering, governance, and reliability work).
